The substances first erupted from Vesuvius were basically pumice , and volcanic rocks that originated from a magma filled with gas and cooled. Mixed with pumice are parts of other rocks that were transported from the magma; above the pumice were trapped most of the corpses at Pompeii, wrapped in ash . Residues pyroclastic eruption were found in the area hundreds of square miles wide, also the experts have calculated that the height of the cloud of gas and pumice has reached 17 km.
An entire city, wich is quickly surrounded by a huge cloud of poisonous gas, with a rain of ashes with temperatures exceeding 500 degrees. a city abandoned in a large hill of volcanic ash. Brought to light only after 1700 years. A city that was having its most important moment of glory!! Culturally, rich and prosperous in its various business activities, with its beautiful vineyards surrounding the large base of the volcano known as the mountain !!
